March 7, 2007 Well we wrapped up our conference play with two more home wins!! We jumped from 4th place to 2nd place in two games, with a little help from other teams in the league. This means we will get a first round bye going into the conference tournament. The game against Sacramento State marked my last home game of my career. It was a very emotional day for me, I was very excited and sad and everything else. I had eight or so family members make it down for the game, so that was fun. The only people missing that I really wish could have been there was my brother Dustin and my grandma Lucy. I can't have it all though. I was the lone senior so it was pretty fun. I had the coaches wear pink because they look so good in it, and I know coach Newlee loves his pink shirt, and Gavin made a country warm up CD (finally some good warm up music). My parents and uncle tried and succeeded at embarrassing me by hanging up posters of me from when I was younger playing sports and what not. It was pretty funny, I could see students walk in, look at them and laugh. Anyways, I can't really put in all in words, it was just an awesome day. So we take on the highest (I think) remaining seed this Friday in our conference tournament. It has been a wild ride this year, we have come a long way, and we are playing great basketball right now. Be sure and check out our website Friday night to see how we did!! Thanks again everyone who reads this, for your support. -Jeni Boesel* "I've failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed." Michael Jordan |
