Sept. 17, 2007
This past week we had a rough road trip. We started conference with a game against Portland State and then traveled to Cheney Washington where we played Eastern Washington. In Portland, Emily Waldron and Jessica Gurney both led with 7 kills each. Kolay Mickelsen came in and played outside hitter late in the game and did really well for us hitting a .385 with 5 kills and no errors. Against Eastern Washington, Jessica had 12 kills while Katie Edgson led us in digs with 22. Both teams were tough but we know we have the ability to beat them. We are all very excited to match up against Weber this week at home. We play them on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. and then take on UVSC on Saturday night. Our Spotlight player this week is Brenda Cooper. She is a transfer from Anchorage Alaska and is a Junior this year. Brenda is left-handed and plays right-side for us. She has a twin brother. She is very aggressive at the net and is a great blocker! We hope to see you at the games this week. GO BENGALS! |
