There are many things that go into making a great team, only some of which our fans can see on the court. Our team showed a lot of poise and character this past weekend. We went to UVSC this weekend and not only did we have our revenge on UC Davis, we won the tournament, and swept the weekend.

Our girls won two five-game matches and one three game match. It was the best feeling to walk out of that gym together knowing that, at that moment of time, all mistakes and triumphs left on the floor, and we as a team were at that time perfect. We had conquered the weekend. We will take this feeling into conference play.

A very wise man once told me, "the greatest thing about playing college athletics is getting to know both the feeling of loss and the feeling of victory. You would never know how good victory felt without first feeling loss." We played with Phil Lucky's words in our hearts, and we all got to learn how true those words were this weekend.

Felice did an amazing job once again, leading us to victory. She once again got the tournament MVP. This makes the third for the season, which makes every tournament we went to this preseason. Good job girl.

We have our next home match this homecoming weekend. We have two actually, Portland state (on Thursday) and Eastern Washington (on Saturday). So come and support your Bengals....
