Bengal Diary - Entry #7

Entry #7

Sept. 26, 2005

Defeating Portland felt great for us, especially those of us who were here last season when we got kicked out of the tournament by them. It was a long night that left us all in pain, but we felt great about the victory. We woke up early the next morning for a breakfast with some of our local fans and supporters. That was also nice, especially when Paul Bubb told everyone how much fun he had watching us.

The loss for us on Saturday was a hard one. It was one of the hardest for me personally as a Big Sky competitor. But here in the Big Sky the team that comes to win, and really brings it, is the team that will win.

On Saturday night the Eagles from Eastern Washington really wanted to win. They put the balls away when it counted. And when it counted we didn't come through. I thank all the fans that supported us, and hopefully we can sing you the fight song at our next home game.....Weber this Saturday.

You bring the noise I'll bring the fire Nikki Havens
